In the midst of the glory that is a solar eclipse (albeit partial here only) this story was breaking news this morning -
Woman in Tsing Yi calls cops to rat drug-using daughter out.
When you have to call the cops on your own young, teenage daughter, knowing you might well be ruining her future with a criminal record, that is a very desperate woman. Which is just really sad. It means she's probably already exhausted all the other things she can do... and yet nothing has happened so she needs help before this gets out of hand. Sheesh. Poor woman.
Why is the drug problem getting worse in Hong Kong? Another sign that society is rapidly deteriorating? Or is the balance theory true? That for each good person, there's a bad person to balance the earth out - i.e. the more kids there are passionate for Jesus, the worse the other kids will get to balance things out... nah. That doesn't sound right.
Anyway. It's just sad. And I believe Hong Kong is destined to be better than this. Greater things for this city! (Yeah, I adore Kris Allen)
