I'm supposed to be translating a script. I've visited more websites in the past three hours than in the past three weeks. Enough said.
Terribly good sermon at church today. So good that after trying to distract myself with other things and not succeeding, I actually went up to the info desk at church to ask about signing up for translating (not that the sermon had much to do with signing up or translating haha)... but there wasn't a sign up sheet and the girl in charge (of the translation thing) was still being prayed for. And then the other me - the usual one - took over and I took the lift down to the first floor and walked up to TWP to watch the Turkish Grand Prix.
Neil Gaiman wrote a wonderful poem for his newly married friends... Which I shall copy here as he told another reader that he was free to use/quote from it :D I love Neil Gaiman.
This for you, for both of you,
a small poem of happiness
filled with small glories and little triumphs
a fragile, short cheerful song
filled with hope and all sorts of futures
Because at weddings we imagine the future
Because it's all about "what happened next?"
all the work and negotiation and building and talk
that makes even the tiniest happily ever after
something to be proud of for a wee forever
This is a small thought for both of you
like a feather or a prayer,
a wish of trust and love and hope
and fine brave hearts and true.
Like a tower, or a house made all of bones and dreams
and tomorrows and tomorrows and tomorrows
God bless :D I shall now go back to translating this rather cheesy script... (I'm learning to be diplomatic. I have learnt that using the word rather can soften things up... sometimes... HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHHAHAA...)
