blame.

Once upon a time, the little girl was full of creativity, writing her own little stories and making up more as she went along. She wrote them down on scraps of paper and of course lost them pretty much within the hour. But it was okay because more stories would come along. Her stories got so big that she started living in them and they would be about all the people around her. And then one day she was told very seriously that she couldn't make up stories anymore because it was called LYING. To really make sure the message was understand, she was caned and grounded for extra impact.

Life went downhill from there. There were no more stories and there wasn't much fun anymore. And then she was taken away from her friends and her school and taken to an awful place which was noisy and crowded and dirty. She went to a new school where there were no boys and the girls all came to school in Jaguars and Roll-Royces and Benzes. And in this new school there was absolutely no space for anymore stories because everything had to be exactly off the books they studied.

And after a few years of this school she went back to the country she was born... and she found that she could no longer make up stories and she could no longer write stories and she was just really quite crap. She found that the girls around her could write and sing and dance and act and do all manners of things but that she could do none of it. She blamed it on the five years in the crappy place.

But then she grew up. And she knew that she couldn't blame anyone. And she knew that she'd probably never had it. And that the stories she'd made up were just lies and weren't stories. And so she went on, living her life... knowing that she'd never be good enough to compete with the creative persons in the world, and never being anything extraordinary. The only problem was, she wasn't content being ordinary.

And so she drifted from one place to another, from one job to another... and unfortunately there is no happy ending to this story. She is still uncreative. She probably always will be.
